Wastage

Wastage entries record stock that was spoiled, broken, or otherwise lost during an event. The event desk gives you a live view of every wastage entry, and a dedicated report rolls the numbers up across events.

Viewing Wastage

Open the Wastage tab in the event desk. Entries are scoped to the active event and show:

  • Outlet — Where the wastage was recorded
  • Created By — The staff member or user who logged it
  • Products — What was wasted, and the quantities
  • Status — Pending or completed
  • Created At — When the entry was logged

Fulfilment Status

Once an entry is completed, each line is reconciled against inventory. The status counts break down as:

  • Entered — Every item was entered successfully
  • No stock — An item was flagged as having no stock
  • Not in cost centre — An item wasn't found in the cost centre
  • Not entered — The entry still has items awaiting inventory entry

Wastage Report

For reporting, open the Wastage Report at /reports/wastage. It summarises wastage entries and can be exported to Excel.

Tips

  • Use the column filters to narrow by outlet or by who created the entry.
  • Wastage counts update in real time — the event desk sub-nav refreshes as entries are logged and completed.
